Suggested route to L'Abbaye du Val from Caen - Ouistreham

• After approximately 8 miles, immediately after HEROUVILLE, bear right onto the A13 signposted ROUEN LISIEUX and ALENCON
  
  
• This takes you onto the CAEN PERIPHERIQUE
  
  
• Continue on this road and you will cross over the RIVER ORNE and canal on a high bridge
  
  
• Shortly, the road splits into different directions, take the one for ALENCON for about 2 miles until you see the sign for THURY-HARCOURT and SUISSE NORMANDE - take this exit onto the D562
  
  
• When you reach THURY-HARCOURT go straight through the town towards FLERS. After about a mile you reach a small village called CAUMONT SUR ORNE
  
  
• Turn left opposite the AUBERGE VALLEE VERTE
  
  
• Proceed up the hill past the church for about 1 and a half miles until you reach LA COURRIERE
  
  
• Turn right, sign-posted LE BAS VAL, and continue through for another three quarters of a mile and a LONG STONE WALL will appear on your right
  
  
• At the end of this wall bear right into L'ABBAYE DU VAL along the driveway into the farm entrance
